SECEF | Workshops phase 1 

The first phase of the SECEF project is composed of 6 different Workshops :

Workshop 1

This first workshop is a domain analysis to define what should be improved :

• Domain analysis, competing and complementary formats, experience feedback, RFC study
• New needs analysis
• Similar projects on these subjects
• Improvement suggestions

Workshop 2

This workshop aims to promote and facilitate the use of the format as they are today.

• Promotion of the actual format: IDMEF, IODEF
• Tutorial and article publication
• Implementation of IODEF in Prelude OSS and IDMEF in new open-source tools

Workshop 3

This secef.net website is part of workhop 3 which aims to create an international community around the two formats.

• Community creation
• Web Site, Forums, Social Networking

Workshop 4|IDMEF v2

During this workshop we will work on IDMEF (v1) evolutions and test them.

• Prototyping and tests of suggested evolutions
• Tools creation

Workshop 5|IODEF v2

During this workshop we will work on IODEF (v1) evolutions and test them.

• Prototyping and tests of suggested evolutions
• Tools creation

Workshop 6

This final workshop aims to define different levels of implementation of each format. IODEF and even more IDMEF are complex and we will try to define differents steps of implementation.

• Compatibility levels definition with the two formats
• Helping implementation by defining different level of implementation
• Tools to check and validate implementation levels
